I believe you should forgive and forget. You can't go through life holding onto something that happened in the past. If you hold a grudge on someone, you're not going to have a very happy life. You shouldn't be thinking about what happened in the past, or even in the future. You should be thinking about the present. Right here, right now.

Back in 5th grade, me and my friends had a little group. I guess you could call it a clique, but we weren't that mean like in the movies. In this group were me, Sofia Campa, Alejandra Velasco, Alondra Ocampo, Monica Sevilla, and Tracie Huynh.

One day at lunch recess, we went to the mini redwood forest right outside the bathrooms. Tracie and I went to the bathroom while Alondra and Sofia looked for earthworms and Alejandra and Monica sat in the dirt and talked. When I walked on the dirt, I accidently stepped on the hole Sofia and Alondra were digging. Sofia started yelling at me, I started yelling at her and then I stormed off to the playground with Tracie.

From then on, me and Sofia hated each other. Some people sided with her and some people sided with me. This fight lasted for months. We had many text fights, which didn't help the situation.

Then one morning on my way to school, when I was telling her how much of a jocker she was, she apologized. And surprisingly, I apologized too. We both said that we didn't mean any of the things we said about each other and that we both forgave each other. After that we just went back to being friends.
When I think back to that 5th grade year, I'm always happy that i decided to forgive and forget and move on.
